MAX FRASER
Illawarra Women's Health Centre Internships
2019 & 2021
I have always been a big advocate for feminism and women's rights, particularly in high school. I completed 2 x 3-month internships with the Illawarra Women's Health Centre in years 10 and 12, working on a project each time that helped make a difference for young women in the Illawarra.

In my year 10 internship, I was a youth advisor to the Young Women's Program. I provided valuable insight into the development of modules and provided feedback to ensure they resonated with young women. I also created a magazine that was sent out to the participating students of the program across various schools in the Illawarra. This was called "Note to Self" and was focused on self-love and feminism.

In my year 12 internship, I developed my own module for the Young Women's Program and co-facilitated this in schools. My module focused on the empowerment of young women and teaching them the importance of setting boundaries.
